A background with fire, water, earth, metal, and wood with what's your element written on top

When I evaluate my patients in Five Element Acupuncture, it blends therapy with physical treatment to maximize healing.

There are different ways to determine your element, and your personality plays a big role. Answer the following questions to determine which element you are.

If you answer yes to most or all these questions, your element is fire.

I put my relationships first

I get bored with routines

I love to have fun and am more likely to do things if someone is with me and if we make it fun

I can be quick to anger or strong emotions

I prefer to be with other people instead of by myself

If you answer yes to most or all these questions, your element is wood.

I am always on time and focused

I value justice and will fight for it

I feel like I have to exercise to manage my stress

I can have a hard time adjusting my plans

I thrive on challenge

If you answer yes to most or all these questions, your element is water.

I need quiet alone time

I have a lot of ideas and am very creative

I don’t always answer questions immediately

I don’t like confrontation

I can be incredibly determined when needed

If you answer yes to most or all these questions, your element is earth.

I love taking care of other people

I value hard work and duty

If I see what someone needs, I will try to help them

Sometimes I help others at the expense of what I need

I can get lost in my own head

If you answer yes to most or all these questions, your element is metal.

I want to get things right

I like to plan things out

I can feel strong resentment

I have a strong spiritual path in my life

I can feel like I am not worth much inside

There are other ways to determine your element too. When we talk, I listen to the tone of your voice, and I watch for a very faint color around the lips or brow that comes in when you get upset discussing your life. You may think you are a certain element based on a quiz, but this method narrows it down.

In treatment, I look for the color, sound, and issue that is upsetting, which should point to a specific element and associated source point. Correcting this source point should make every organ’s pulse stronger, making you feel more stable.

Five Element treatments are done once a month and help you BECOME yourself. Each month, I’ll help you to stabilize and feel strong in your element by treating the source point in your element.

In many of my regular Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) patients, I integrate this work into their TCM treatment protocols. Many call me their acupuncturist/therapist because of my therapy background.

I love balancing my clients on all levels. My goal is that you feel better and that your life becomes more functional and healthier while supporting your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

You can schedule a 90-minute Five Element Appointment anytime you are struggling with an issue in your life that you cannot figure out.
